Lovefeast – a unique service to Moravians

Throughout the year the Moravian church celebrates Lovefeast. This unique service traces its roots to the early centuries of Christianity when believers would share table fellowship as a way of demonstrating their love for Christ and for one another. The Lovefeast is not a sacrament of our church, it is an opportunity to experience through a shared meal the gift of God’s love. Our Christmas Eve services are very special as we celebrate Christ as the light of the world.

We look forward to welcoming you to one of our Christmas Eve Lovefeasts!  To seat everyone as efficiently as possible, please have your entire group assembled before entering the sanctuary, so that our ushers can fill our sanctuary fully and reverently.  We ask that you plan accordingly and bring what you might need to be comfortable.  We will have worship bags for all children to help make the wait in the sanctuary more engaging prior to the start of our worship, with nursery care available for infants and toddlers.  We look forward to having you join us on Christmas Eve to welcome the Christ Child.

There are two services this year – 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Please come early as these services are usually well-attended and fill up fast!

Our offerings this year will be shared among the following:  Christmas Stocking, Sunnyside Ministry, Crisis Control, Next Step, and Shepherd’s Center.
